Bio:
I am a compassionate, personable individual who is passionate about helping others reach their goals. I believe that each person has value and the capacity for growth and healing. I enjoy working with individuals, teens, children, and families.
I use a client-centered, strength-based approach and utilize evidence-based methods including Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am currently enrolled in the Play Therapy certification program through The Canadian Association for Play Therapy and have completed levels 2 and 3. I believe that early relationships are a vital contributor to each child’s development and behaviour in life, and that a key piece in those early relationships is the development of play. I have significant experience working with children and teens in schools, homes, group home settings, and a correctional facility. In addition, I have several years of experience working with children and families who have special needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and Pervasive Developmental Disorders.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you in your wellness goals.
