Bio:

Bringing empathy and compassion into my work, I view counselling as a collaborative process between myself and you (the client). It takes strength and courage to attend therapy, and my goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for you to explore your experiences, gain understanding, and make desired changes. Using a client-centred and integrative approach, I draw on multiple theoretical orientations, tailoring our approach to best fit your needs. My passion is to help and support others, meeting people wherever they are in their journey. I have over 15 years of professional experience supporting people of all ages with varied mental health and wellness needs. When working with clients, I emphasise a holistic and integrative approach. I believe that counselling provides people the opportunity to meaningfully explore their experiences, emotions, beliefs, and behaviours in a constructive way, creating an environment for growth and where meaningful change can occur. The theoretical approaches I draw from are: Client-Centred, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused approaches, Gottman’s Method (couples), narrative therapy, and mindfulness techniques. I look forward to working with you and hearing your story.
